NIGHT SHIFT

A curious and bouncy little girl awaits the presence of someone in the midst of the night. As she waits, she is whisked away by an ethereal Moon Woman for a magical night of play and together they dance among the clouds of the night's sky.

Night shift is the 2020 animated short film created by the students of the University of Texas at Dallas’ Animation Lab program, directed and written by Nicole Solis. Animation Lab is a course that simulates a professional studio environment with the goal to complete a yearly short. For this project, Nicole created character designs and visual development work and directed 30+ of her peers to bring her vision for the animated short to fruition.
